We’ve got a great interview from Mark Hamilton from Woodpigeon who explains everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the West Lothian Bus Service. We have an Unsung album so good and so obscure that you’ll have to listen to the show because there’s no chance of finding it in the shops. (shops?)
We have new music from The Gaslight Anthem who’ve gone from New Jersey obscurity to a date opening for Brooooooce in Hyde Park this summer. All that and, if that isn’t enough, we’ll stop in Oregon and stretch our legs a little. See you Tuesday at 8.
Looking forward to that unsung album! Mmmm wonder what it is .. Gene Clark No Other maybe?
Gas Light Anthem album is pretty good and certainly they give a very large tip of the hat to the Boss…..and roll on 14 July. Brooooooce indeed! See everyone in the front row!
Larry Norman (who died one year ago last week) was based in Salem, Oregon and was working on a new album with Frank Black / Black Francis who is i think based in Portland, Oregon these days. Will miss tonight’s show as i will be at (new) St Mirren Park hoping a certain team atone for Saturday’s drubbing.
Have a good one.
Hello, I dont speack english, sorry. But I think you read this please.
I have listened to this song:
and the music is exactly equal to “Closing Time”!!
This is important for you?
Esa canción es muy anterior a Closing Time … el sampler de Family affair apareció en la canción de Deacon Blue …
Unsung Album suggestion – Hollywood Town Hall by The Jayhawks. A record full of beautifully atmospheric songs.
Great suggestion by George! Really tremendous album and Engineered by one Brendan O’Brien which is an interesting bit of trivia now hitting the heights with Springsteen.
I am still hoping for the True One by Gene Clark to crop up.
wow great to see you still on the go, been out of touch with the whole thing for a while, but hey back now. Reading the comments above Norrie sounds like a real interesting guy, he knows his stuff. See you in the front row man.
